1. About us
This website is run by Bath TCG Ltd, trading as Bath TCG, Norton TCG and The TCG Group ("we", "us", "our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14183067. Our registered office is 4 Victoria Buildings, Lower Bristol Road, Bath BA2 3EH. Our VAT number is GB377866823.
You can contact us by email at admin@bathtcg.co.uk (Bath) or info@nortontcg.co.uk (Norton), by phone on 01225 667024 (Bath) or 01761 202084 (Norton), or in either shop. Shop addresses and opening hours are on our Visit us page.
These terms apply to everything you buy from us online, including orders you collect in store. Purchases made in our shops are also covered where these terms say so. Please read them with our Delivery and Returns policy, our Privacy policy, our In-Demand Product Release Policy, our Loyalty Scheme Policy and our Trade-in Policy.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
2. Your account
You need to be 18 or over to place an order or create an account. Under-18s may use an account set up and managed by a parent or guardian.
Keep your login details private. One person, one account: creating extra accounts to get around purchase limits or tier rules is a breach of these terms. Online tier access (for example Tier 1 pre-orders) is matched to the email address on your loyalty account, so please use the same email in store and online.
3. Products and descriptions
We describe products as accurately as we can. Pictures may be stock images, and packaging can vary from the photos.
Single cards are sold in the condition stated on the listing, using these grades: Near Mint (NM), Lightly Played (LP), Moderately Played (MP), Heavily Played (HP) and Damaged (DMG). Grading is a careful judgement by our staff; if you think a card doesn't match its grade, tell us within 14 days of receiving it (see our Returns policy).
Sealed products contain random contents. We can't promise what any pack or box contains, and the value of the cards inside is not part of what you are buying.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where VAT applies. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
Second-hand goods, including most single cards and pre-owned items, are sold under the VAT margin scheme. Their prices include any VAT due, but VAT is not shown separately on your receipt or invoice and cannot be reclaimed.
If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we'll contact you before dispatch and you can either pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Placing an order and payment
Your order is an offer to buy. When you place it we send an order confirmation; the contract between us is made when we email you to say your order has been dispatched or is ready to collect. We may decline an order, for example if the item is out of stock, the price is clearly wrong, or the order breaks a purchase limit. If we do, we'll refund you in full.
Payment is taken in full at checkout. Online card payments are processed by Shopify Payments; we never see or store your full card details. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
6. Purchase limits and fair access
Some products have limits per customer, household, account or payment method, online and in store combined. These are explained in our In-Demand Product Release Policy. We may cancel or reduce orders that exceed a limit or that we reasonably believe are made by automated tools or for resale, and we'll refund any cancelled items in full.
You must not use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated tools to browse, add to basket or check out on this website, or to get around queues, limits or access restrictions.
7. Pre-orders
Pre-orders are paid in full at checkout. Release dates come from our suppliers and can change; we'll keep you updated by email.
If our supplier cuts our allocation and we can't fulfil your pre-order, or part of it, we'll tell you as soon as we know and refund what we can't supply in full.
You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it is dispatched for a full refund by emailing us with your order number. Once it has been delivered, our normal Returns policy applies.
If your order mixes pre-order and in-stock items, we send everything together when the pre-order item is released, unless you ask us to split it. If you ask us to split it, we may charge postage for the second parcel.
Some pre-orders are only available to Tier 1 customers. These are shown only when you are signed in to an account that qualifies, and orders from accounts that don't qualify may be cancelled and refunded.
8. Delivery and collection
We deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery options, charges and times are in our Delivery and Returns policy. Goods are our responsibility until they reach you or someone you've nominated, or until you collect them.
9. Event tickets
Tickets for events, tournaments and leagues are sold on this website and booked through CoAttend. Each ticket is for the named event, date and shop.
- Refunds. Because tickets are for an event on a specific date, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them. Tickets are not refundable if you change your mind or can't attend.
- Transfers. You can give your place to another player at no charge, up to the start of the event, by emailing the shop running the event with your order number and their name.
- If we cancel or move an event, you can choose a full refund or a place at the new date.
- No-shows. If you don't arrive by the published start time, we may give your place to someone else and the ticket is not refunded.
- At the event. Players must follow our store rules and the organised play rules of the game's publisher. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone behaving in a disruptive, abusive or unsafe way, without a refund. We may change formats, prize support or timings where we need to.
- Under-16s need a parent or guardian's permission to book and attend.
10. Gift cards and store credit
Gift cards and store credit can be used in both shops and online. They can't be exchanged for cash or used to buy other gift cards, and they don't expire. Treat them like cash: we can only replace a lost card if we can identify its balance.
11. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses: our products are for personal use.
We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights in relation to the goods (for example that they are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose).
We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as supplier or publisher delays or postal disruption. If that happens we'll tell you and you can cancel for a refund of anything not yet supplied.
12. Website content
The content and design of this website belong to us or our licensors. Game names, card images and logos belong to their publishers. You may use the website for your own personal shopping only.
13. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please contact the shop you bought from first. We aim to reply within 3 working days.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of where you live.
